digitalswitzerland aims at making Switzerland a leading digital innovation hub worldwide. By joining this initiative, the GGBa reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the country’s digital transformation.

digitalswitzerland is the joint initiative of industry, public authorities and universities, which wants to shape Switzerland as the leading international digital location for innovation. The platform is already active in a wide range of fields such as education and training, support for start-ups and political framework conditions. Less than three years after its creation, digitalswitzerland has already crossed the 100-member mark. Among them are well-known companies and organizations such as Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IMD and WEF. Since March, the association can also count on the active participation and support of the GGBa.

“The GGBa is happy to join digitalswitzerland. Together, we will be able to work towards our common goals: promoting Switzerland as a business location abroad, fostering the arrival of talent and entrepreneurs, and creating high-value-added jobs,” said Thomas Bohn, GGBa Executive Director.

Western Switzerland is already very active in the field of innovation and digital transformation. In recent years, many leading digital initiatives have been launched. They range from smart cities to cybersecurity, e-government, personalized health and the use of blockchain technology in the commercial register.
